Eros Succhiare [4'00"]

Eros Succhiare is a work for Solo Cello and Piano. The accompaniment moves along a shimmering haze of trills and tremolandos blurs of mysterious, nebula-like sound clouds consisting of various rotating pitch cells, like quiet, dulcimer-like tones. The effect of this blurred background allows the Solo Cello line to soar above the Piano accompaniment, in contrast, with a long-limbed, sustained melodic breeziness that seemingly floats high above the Piano in soft, molto espressivo passages. The piece, therefore, is a brief sound-world through beautiful, textured layers of continuously lush and fizzing effervesce.
