It mixes slow string richness with lively and brisk passages that have protean vigor. It is a refreshing blend of bright and transparent music, honest American harmonies, and is soulful in its roots. The six movements, in order, are called: “Dust Tracks on a Dirt Road,” “Fly Fishin,” “Raking Leaves,” “Family Prayers,” “Pecan Orchard,” and “River’s Edge.”
