Marche, Op. 12 No. 1 in F Minor by Sergei Prokofiev is from a collection of ‘10 Little Piano Pieces’ for young pianists. The first movement, the March (sometimes spelled ‘Marche’), was based on the music from No. 6 of the Little Songs, Series V (1906) by Prokofiev, Ukrainian-Russian composer of Romeo & Juliet, Peter & the Wolf, etc. Nathan’s orchestration is for small orchestra, originally performed by the Juilliard school orchestra in NYC, Daniel Ott conducting.
